upload xyz file - no cr/lf in Notepad.exe

When creating a file using upload / xyz file, note displays the file as on long line. It seems as though is it not seeing the line feed (carriage return). This has never been a problem before? I think Notepad may have changed? Can anyone recommend an alternate editor?

If you output the data using UTILITY/LIST DATA it will give a text file that is a line by line page.
Alternativelly - the file created by upload xyz can be opened as an excel csv file.
